ORGANISATION ACHIEVEMENTS

The following are some of our past achievements;

-We have recruited over 180 orphans and vulnerable children in different local public primary and secondary schools with great need of educational and material support
-We have supported over 330 orphans and vulnerable children with school uniforms
-We have supported over 75 students in different local secondary schools with tuition fees
-We have supported 15 students in different colleges and 5 in university education with tuition and upkeep fees
-Have supported 6,800 children with different scholastic materials in different primary and secondary school
-We have support over 200 vulnerable girls in primary and secondary schools with sanitary towels
-We have undertaken series of health and hygiene education to over 3,500 school children
-We have supported 1050 children at Thome primary school with 20 ventilated latrines for the girls and 18 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 4 urinals
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Thome primary school for use by 1050 children and 25 teachers
-We have been able to connect tap water for 1050 children and 25 teachers at Thome pry school
-We have been able to construct a latrine block with 4 stances for the teachers at Thome pry school
-We have constructed a hand washing platform with 15 taps at Thome primary school to enhance hand washing activities for the children
-We have supported 682 children at Kibii primary school with 8 ventilated latrines for the girls and 8 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 2 urinals
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment at Kibii primary school for use by 682 children and 16 teachers
-We have constructed a hand washing platform with 12 taps at Kibii primary school to enhance hand washing activities for the children
-We have supported 535 children at Mutundu primary school with 10 ventilated latrines for the girls, 8 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 2 urinals and 6 ventilated latrines for 21 teachers
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Mutundu primary school for use by 535 children and 21 teachers
-We have constructed a hand washing platform with 12 taps at Mutundu primary school to enhance hand washing activities for the children
-We have supported 786 children at Rurii primary school with 8 ventilated latrines for the girls ,8 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 2 urinals and 3 ventilated latrines for 25 teachers
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Rurii primary school for use by 786 children and 25 teachers
-We have constructed a hand washing platform with 12 taps at Kibii primary school to enhance hand washing activities for the children
-We have supported 638 children at Twiga primary school with 8 ventilated latrines for the girls, 8 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 2 urinals and 3 ventilated latrines for 18 teachers
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Twiga primary school for use by 638 children and 18 teachers
-We have constructed a hand washing platform with 8 taps at Twiga primary school to enhance hand washing activities for the children

-We have supported 725 children at Ndururumo primary school with 8 ventilated latrines for the girls, 8 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 1 urinal
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Ndururumo primary school for use by 725 children and 21 teachers
-We have raised awareness of the importance of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene behaviors at 6 local public schools with a total of over 6,800 children using a variety of approaches.
-We have established a hand washing clubs at each of the 5 schools
-We have distributed a total of over 10,000 copies of water, sanitation and hygiene booklets to school children to enhance their understanding on WASH in schools and at their respective homes.
-Increased coverage of separate sanitation facilities for girls and boys, which are child-friendly and accessible at all times.
-We have supported 650 children at Murera primary school with 6 ventilated latrines for the girls , 10 ventilated latrines for the boys plus 2 urinals and 2 for the teachers
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Murera primary school for use by 650 children and 14 teachers
-We have constructed a hand wash platform for the school with 10 taps to enhance hand wash activities.
-We have supported 560 children at Jacaranda primary school with 4 ventilated latrines for the girls, 4 ventilated latrines for the boys plus a urinals
-We have completed successfully installation of rain water harvesting equipment’s at Jacaranda primary school for use by 560 children and 14 teachers
-We have constructed a hand wash platform for the school with 12 taps to enhance hand wash activities.
-We have supported over 6,800 children with 640 desks for enhanced learning

GOVERNANCE
-Extremely strong governance and structures in place to become a sustainable organization run by Kenyans for Kenyans.
-Being rooted in the community, we are able to listen and respond to need.
-Registered Community Based Organization in Ruiru district in Kenya and governed by our Constitution.
Elected board (currently 7 board members) has a strong skill base and balanced community representation; their contributions are wise, considered and practical.
-The boards also act as the Management Team and meet frequently should need be
-We have earned an excellent reputation among all stakeholders for being fair, transparent, inclusive and accountable.
